This is probably my favorite place in the Windward Mall food court. I've enjoyed all of the things I've tried here, so it's my go to when I cannot decide.
There is a nice selection of dishes to choose from and you can either order it plate lunch style or okazuya style. There are pros and cons for either way you chose.
As I've said before, I've never had something I didnt like here, but it is pretty pricey for the sizes. The most recent time I visited, I ordered a regular size drink, 1 piece of inari, and a mini chicken & squash plate. This costed just about $13. I posted a picture of it. (Btw, this plate only had 3 medium diced size pieces of chicken and a lot of squash, smh)I could have gotten a full size plate at other places for that price. Just because it's good, that doesn't mean you should gouge prices. There's always somewhere better.
I'm still giving 4 stars though, only because, like I said, the food is good, and I can depend on that when I'm at the mall, and want a fast meal. -

There is absolutely so much things wrong with this place that it's beyond me how this establishment is still in business. I won't go and give a full list of reviews but I will keep it simple and relevant to a first timers experience. First of all you are being serviced at a counter that doesn't establish who gets served first or who was there ready to order first because there is no line! It's pretty much whoever the lady's choose to give attention to first.
The second thing you'll notice right away is that all of the staff are older women, now there is nothing wrong with that at all! That is not the problem, what the problem is that there were multiple times I've been there and they forgot my side order which comes with the lunch plate order. Third thing you'll notice is that the food is drastically over priced for a very underwhelming taste and entree options...mind you there are 3 options that are just Teri whatever's lol -

Nice variety of okazuya food to choose from. The hamburger steak was very moist and tasty. The sweet sour spareribs were ok. Good taste, very meaty. The chow funn looked good but didn't really have a lot of taste. Staff is friendly. Prices are ok. Did notice a fly though hovering and landing on the food. Please see pics.

Simple, no frills, like home eatery in Windward Mall. For the meat eaters, there's a lot on offer. For the veggies, there's options but not many main dishes. Personally, I stick to the tempura selection, which is more local style. Potato tempura is a good size, same with the vegetable. On cold days, get yourself a saimin.
Hawaiian plate is also good, same with the mochicko chicken. Grinds. -

So much to choose, from a very extensive menu. There are specials galore. But seeing the finish product first hand.
I had to order the mini Shoyu Chicken. It came with a scoop of mac salad and rice. It was so good, the chicken was perfectly marinated and fell off the bone with ease.
What a perfect choice for lunch. It was fast and convenient. Thumbs up on this one.
